CORE PRAETEK QUESTIONS
What is PRAETEK?
PRAETEK is a solo LLC business that designs and produces purpose-built 3D-printed airsoft accessories, with a primary focus on Wolverine MTW Billet bullpup conversion systems.
PRAETEK products are engineered to give performance-focused airsoft players a more compact, aggressive, and distinct setup without relying on generic, mass-produced upgrades.
What does PRAETEK specialize in?
PRAETEK specializes in purpose-built airsoft upgrades for the Wolverine MTW Billet platform, especially bullpup-style conversion systems such as the Revenant product line.
The current PRAETEK product lines include Revenant, Revenant Recoil, and Revenant Gustaf..
Why does PRAETEK focus on the Wolverine MTW Billet platform?
The Wolverine MTW Billet is already a high-performance airsoft platform, but many builds have started to look and feel the same.
PRAETEK focuses on the MTW Billet because it gives players a strong performance foundation while allowing PRAETEK to engineer platform-specific upgrades that change the way the setup handles, presents, and feels on the field.
Instead of making generic parts, PRAETEK designs around specific use cases and platform requirements.
Who designs PRAETEK products?
PRAETEK products are designed in-house by the founder of PRAETEK.
The founder has over a decade of airsoft technical experience through GoAirheads, including repair, upgrade, and management experience. The founder also has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD experience, and specialized training in additive manufacturing and composites..
Are PRAETEK products 3D printed?
Yes. PRAETEK uses additive manufacturing to produce functional airsoft accessories and custom solutions.
3D printing allows PRAETEK to prototype, test, refine, and produce complex designs without the waste or limitations of traditional mass production.
Why does PRAETEK use additive manufacturing?
PRAETEK uses additive manufacturing because it allows complex functional parts to be designed, tested, refined, and produced efficiently.
This process supports precision iteration, reduced material waste, and small-batch production without requiring mass-production tooling. It allows PRAETEK to build purpose-driven parts for specific airsoft platforms instead of generic accessories.
What material are Revenant components made from?
PRAETEK Revenant components are made using durable PCTG and advanced additive manufacturing methods.
The parts are designed for their intended airsoft purpose and should be installed, handled, and used correctly.
Does “3D printed” mean the product is weak?
No, and 3D-printed parts should still be used correctly and within their intended purpose.
PRAETEK products are designed with functional use in mind and refined through practical testing. No airsoft accessory is indestructible. Strength depends on design, material, print orientation, installation, use conditions, and proper handling.
PRAETEK products are intended for airsoft use only and should not be modified or used outside their intended purpose
.
What makes PRAETEK different from generic airsoft accessories?
PRAETEK products are not designed as universal add-ons.
They are developed through an engineering-first process that includes CAD modeling, additive manufacturing, testing, refinement, and real-world airsoft experience.
The goal is not just to make a part that looks different. The goal is to create an upgrade that supports a more compact, controlled, and visually distinct airsoft setup.
Will my PRAETEK product have visible 3D printing marks?
Yes, minor cosmetic print characteristics may be visible.
PRAETEK products are made using additive manufacturing, not injection molding. Slight stringing, small layer shifts, minor gaps, small blobs, light overhang marks, post-processing marks, or slight discoloration from removed print-support features may be present.
These cosmetic characteristics are normal for functional 3D-printed parts and do not affect intended airsoft use when the part passes PRAETEK quality inspection.
Every part is inspected before shipping. If a part does not meet PRAETEK’s acceptable quality standards, it is scrapped and reprinted.

No. PRAETEK products are not universal unless specifically stated.
Many PRAETEK products are designed around specific platforms, especially the Wolverine MTW Billet. Always check the product page for compatibility details before ordering.
If you are unsure whether a product will fit your setup, contact PRAETEK before purchasing.
What is the difference between Revenant, Revenant Recoil, and Revenant Gustaf?
Revenant is the core bullpup conversion system for compatible Wolverine Gen 3 and Gen 2 MTW Billet Series builds . It is designed for compact handling, improved balance, and a distinct profile.
Revenant Recoil is built for Wolverine Gen 3 and Gen 2 MTW Billet Series setups that already have the Inferno XTS and Quake recoil system installed. It does not add recoil by itself; it converts an already recoil-equipped MTW into a compact bullpup system.
Revenant Gustaf is designed for the Wolverine Gen 3 MTW Billet Series Unleashed and uses an integrated tank system to improve balance, stability, and shoulder-supported control.
Which Revenant system should I choose?
Choose Revenant if you want the most direct compact bullpup conversion for a compatible Wolverine MTW Billet setup.
Choose Revenant Recoil if your MTW already has the required Inferno XTS and Quake recoil system installed and you want a bullpup system with physical shot feedback.
Choose Revenant Gustaf if you are building around the MTW Billet Unleashed and want an integrated tank configuration with a more grounded, shoulder-supported feel.
Always check the compatibility requirements on the product page before ordering.
What is the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2?
Tier 1 is the core conversion package. It includes the essential PRAETEK components needed to convert a compatible MTW setup into the selected Revenant bullpup configuration.
Tier 2 includes the Tier 1 components plus additional control, comfort, and modularity upgrades.
Depending on the product, Tier 2 may include a modular reversible rail riser, PEQ-15 compatibility, cheek rail covers, reinforced rail support, and additional comfort or adaptability features.
Does Tier 1 include everything I need?
Tier 1 includes the core PRAETEK conversion components for the selected Revenant system, but it does not include the MTW airsoft gun, tank, magazine, vertical grip, ambidextrous magazine catch, or other listed non-included accessories.
Customers must already have the required compatible MTW platform and required Wolverine components listed on the product page.
Does Tier 2 include everything from Tier 1?
Yes. Tier 2 includes the Tier 1 conversion components plus additional modular upgrades for comfort, control, and adaptability.
Tier 2 is intended for players who want the most refined version of that Revenant system.
What hardware is included with PRAETEK kits?
PRAETEK kits include the required kit hardware such as screws and magnets.
Tier 2 kits also include the required screws, magnets, nuts, and bolts for the Tier 2 components.
The MTW airsoft gun, tank, magazine, vertical grip, ambidextrous magazine catch, and other listed accessories are not included unless specifically stated on the product page.
Are Revenant products universal MTW upgrades?
No. Revenant products are not universal MTW upgrades.
Each Revenant system has specific compatibility requirements. These may include a specific MTW generation, rail system, electronics option, trigger assembly, sling plate, gripline, recoil kit, or Unleashed configuration depending on the product.
Do not assume compatibility based only on owning an MTW. Always check the product page before ordering.
Are Revenant products compatible with the MTW-9?
No. Current Revenant products are not compatible with the MTW-9.
PRAETEK may explore MTW-9 compatibility in the future, but the current Revenant systems are designed around compatible Wolverine MTW Billet Gen 2 and Gen 3 platforms listed on each product page.
Does Revenant Recoil add recoil to my MTW?
No. Revenant Recoil does not add recoil by itself.
Revenant Recoil requires a pre-installed Inferno XTS HPA Engine and Quake MTW Recoil Stock Upgrade Kit. The product is designed to convert a compatible recoil-equipped MTW Billet series into a compact bullpup system.
Does Revenant Gustaf include the HPA tank?
No. Revenant Gustaf does not include the HPA tank.
The product is designed around an integrated tank configuration, but the tank itself is not included. Customers must supply the required compatible airsoft equipment and ensure the tank is installed so that the fill nipple and pressure gauge do not contact the shoulder during use.
Do Revenant products include a vertical grip?
No. Vertical grips are not included unless specifically stated on the product page.
The Revenant product family uses a Picatinny-mounted grip system so players can choose the grip style that best fits their ergonomics and playstyle.
Do Revenant products include an ambidextrous magazine catch?
No. An ambidextrous magazine catch is not included.
To use the enlarged magazine release paddle as intended, install a compatible ambidextrous magazine catch such as the Strike Industries Ambi Magazine Catch or the Maxx MTW Magazine Release, as listed on the product page.
Can PRAETEK guarantee compatibility with modified builds?
No. PRAETEK cannot guarantee compatibility with every modified, customized, or non-standard airsoft build.
Aftermarket parts, previous modifications, tolerance differences, wear, and installation methods can all affect fit and function. Product pages will provide the best available compatibility information, but customers should verify their setup before ordering.
Airsoft Bullpup & MTW Education
What is a bullpup airsoft rifle?
A bullpup airsoft rifle places the action and magazine area behind the trigger, allowing the platform to have a shorter overall length while still maintaining a usable barrel length.
In airsoft, a bullpup layout can help create a more compact setup for close-quarters movement, tighter transitions, and reduced front-heavy handling. PRAETEK Revenant kits use the bullpup concept to transform compatible Wolverine MTW Billet platforms into shorter, more aggressive, and more distinctive airsoft builds.
What is an MTW bullpup conversion kit?
An MTW bullpup conversion kit is an airsoft accessory system that changes the layout of a compatible Wolverine MTW so the platform handles more like a bullpup.
PRAETEK Revenant kits are designed to convert compatible Wolverine MTW Billet platforms into compact bullpup-style airsoft systems. They are airsoft-only accessories and are not firearm parts.
Why convert a Wolverine MTW into a bullpup?
A bullpup conversion can make a compatible Wolverine MTW feel shorter, more compact, and easier to maneuver in tight environments.
The goal is not to automatically increase FPS, accuracy, or rate of fire. The goal is to change the platform’s handling, balance, ergonomics, and profile while keeping the performance foundation of the MTW platform.
Does a bullpup conversion improve airsoft performance?
A bullpup conversion can improve how the airsoft platform handles, especially in tight spaces, but it does not automatically improve internal shooting performance.
FPS, accuracy, rate of fire, air efficiency, and consistency depend on the internal setup, air system, barrel, hop setup, BBs, tuning, and maintenance. PRAETEK Revenant kits focus on compact handling, balance, control, and platform identity.
What is the Wolverine MTW?
The Wolverine MTW, or Modular Training Weapon, is an HPA-powered airsoft platform from Wolverine Airsoft. Wolverine describes the MTW as a platform built for reliability and customization, with a broad ecosystem of MTW accessories and parts.
PRAETEK Revenant kits are designed for specific compatible Wolverine MTW Billet configurations. Customers should always check the compatibility requirements on each PRAETEK product page before ordering.
What is the difference between the MTW Billet and MTW Unleashed?
The MTW Billet is a Wolverine MTW platform configuration built around a billet receiver platform. The MTW Unleashed is a Wolverine trim level that includes the WRAITH X HPA stock, a 13/3000cu HPA tank, and a CR123-powered MTW battery grip.
PRAETEK Revenant Gustaf is designed specifically around the Wolverine Gen 3 MTW Billet Unleashed configuration. Standard Revenant and Revenant Recoil products have different compatibility requirements.
What is HPA airsoft?
HPA stands for high-pressure air. In airsoft, HPA systems use compressed air to power the airsoft replica instead of a traditional electric gearbox or gas magazine system.
The Wolverine MTW is part of the HPA airsoft category, and PRAETEK Revenant kits are designed around compatible Wolverine MTW airsoft platforms. PRAETEK kits do not replace responsible tuning, safe use, or field compliance.
What is additive manufacturing?
Additive manufacturing is a production method that builds parts layer by layer from digital designs.
PRAETEK uses additive manufacturing to create functional 3D-printed airsoft accessories. This allows PRAETEK to prototype, test, refine, and produce purpose-built components without the tooling required for traditional mass production.
Why does PRAETEK use 3D printing for airsoft parts?
PRAETEK uses 3D printing because it supports precision iteration, small-batch production, and complex functional geometry.
For specialized airsoft accessories like the Revenant product line, additive manufacturing allows PRAETEK to refine parts around real-world fit, handling, and functional requirements instead of forcing a generic design into mass production.
Is a 3D-printed airsoft part strong enough for real use?
A properly designed 3D-printed airsoft part can be suitable for functional airsoft use, and no part should be treated as indestructible.
Strength depends on material, geometry, print orientation, installation, use conditions, and proper handling. PRAETEK parts are designed for their intended airsoft purpose and inspected before shipping.
